Delete Your Account
Kigaru Talks allows you to request full deletion of your account and associated data. Follow the steps below to submit a deletion request.
How to request account deletion
- Open the Kigaru Talks app and go to Settings
- Tap Account → Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Alternatively, you can email us at hello@kigarutalks.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account.
Data that is deleted
- Account information (email, name, password)
- Profile information (language level, learning goals, preferences)
- Conversation and lesson history
- Voice recordings from practice sessions
- Subscription and payment metadata
Data that may be retained
- Anonymised usage analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable data used to improve the service (retained indefinitely)
- Support correspondence — retained for up to 3 years for legal and compliance purposes
- Transaction records — retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically up to 7 years)
Processing timeline
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted. During this period you can contact us to cancel the request.
