Delete Your Account

Kigaru Talks allows you to request full deletion of your account and associated data. Follow the steps below to submit a deletion request.

How to request account deletion

  1. Open the Kigaru Talks app and go to Settings
  2. Tap Account → Delete Account
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Alternatively, you can email us at hello@kigarutalks.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account.

Data that is deleted

  • Account information (email, name, password)
  • Profile information (language level, learning goals, preferences)
  • Conversation and lesson history
  • Voice recordings from practice sessions
  • Subscription and payment metadata

Data that may be retained

  • Anonymised usage analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable data used to improve the service (retained indefinitely)
  • Support correspondence — retained for up to 3 years for legal and compliance purposes
  • Transaction records — retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically up to 7 years)

Processing timeline

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted. During this period you can contact us to cancel the request.
